NA lawmakers demand government’s clear concept on PSC’s vacancy announcement


The lawmakers of the National Assembly have demanded government’s clear concept about the recent vacancy announced by Public Service Commission.

Youths of indigenous nationalities and Dalit community have been launching agitation, saying the vacancy announced by the PSC was against constitution, law and the principle of social justice. The PSC on May 29 had announced vacancy for 9,161 posts.

In today’s meeting, lawmaker Khem Kumar Bishwokarma demanded to scrap the vacancy announced by the PSC citing it was against the sentiment of constitution and proportional and inclusive representation. He said, “I ask the government to resolve the problems as soon as possible as the vacancy announced by PSC has created differences between different communities including indigenous nationalities and government.”

Similarly, another lawmaker Anita Devkota demanded the government to make arrangement of chemical fertilizer as soon as possible as well as to run different programmes for relief to landslide victim families.

Likewise, Udaya Sharma demanded to appoint office-bearers at the National Women Commission, the important structure monitoring the cases against domestic violence and violence against women at a time when such cases are increasing in the country day by day. Kamala Kumari Oli stressed the need of utilizing budget allocated for development programmes including infrastructure development.
