Nepalgunj sub-metropolis to operate women-friendly bus

Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city has made preparation to operate women-friendly public buses.
Chief Administration Officer of the sub-metropolitan city, Hari Pyakurel, said that the sub-metropolis has purchased seven buses at a cost of around Rs 35 million and the process was underway to formulate working procedure to operate the women-friendly bus.
The buses have now been kept at the premises of the sub-metropolis for the past one month. Spokesperson Pramod Rijal said that the women-friendly buses would be operated linking sub-metropolitan city with other rural municipalities.
The sub-metropolis has been making preparation to operate the women- friendly bus from Nepalgunj to Kohalpur, Khajura, Janaki and Duduwa, among other routes.
