NC wants measures to avoid risk of epidemic in disaster affected areas

The main opposition Nepali Congress has called on the government to take measures to avoid the possibility of outbreak of disease in the areas hit by latest incidents of landslide, flood and inundation.
The NC Parliamentary Party Office, through a press note today, has drawn the attention of government and bodies concerned towards the prevention of further loss in the affected areas. It has sought the operation of response works in an efficient and effective way.
It may be noted that widespread heavy monsoon rains occurred few days ago ended in significant losses of life and physical property by landslides, flooding, inundation and erosion.
“It seems the government should respond the situation more effectively,” NC chief whip Balkrishna Khand said.
